QEJA Socks
Family-owned, majority female-founded and operated sock brand making active socks.

What
QEJA Socks needed a fresh visual identity and a custom e-commerce store. I helped out with their branding and led the art direction, web design, and development, creating a modern look with subtle nods to 80’s aesthetics, all built on a clean, easy-to-navigate Shopify setup.
(01) Branding
The branding leans on muted colours, bold typography, and a subtle nod to 80s aesthetics. The idea was to keep things clean and modern while still giving the brand a recognisable character without going full retro.
(02) Photography (product)
The lifestyle and outdoor product shots were planned from the start to be shot on analog film. It was a core part of the visual direction — giving the images a softer, more natural look that fit the brand’s tone. The art direction focused on everyday moments rather than staged commercial setups. Photos by Dennis Olzon.
(03) Photography product
The studio product shots went in the opposite direction: clean, direct, and free from distractions. The goal was clarity — showing the socks exactly as they are, with simple lighting and no unnecessary styling. Photos by Nadja Endler.
(04) Web
The website was designed to feel more considered than a standard Shopify template. The layout and interaction choices were guided by the brand identity, keeping things clear, easy to navigate, and visually consistent with the rest of the system. Custom CSS and JavaScript were used in development to get the exact feel we were after, especially for the smaller interaction details that needed more control.
